Recipe Ingredients for Thai Spicy Basil Chicken

3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons thai chile
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast
3 tablespoons fish sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 oz thai chile
1 cup basil leaves

Recipe Directions for Thai Spicy Basil Chicken

  1. Heat oil over high heat in wok or skillet

  2. stir fry garlic till fragrant about 15 seconds

  3. add chopped chile and stir fry 15 seconds

  4. add finely chopped chicken and stir fry till opaque, about 1 minute

  5. add fish sauce, soy sauce and sugar and stir fry till chicken is opaque throughout, about 2 minutes

  6. remove from heat and add 2 whole chiles sliced on diagonal and add basil and toss just until basil wilts. Turn out onto a platter and serve at once, before basil losses bright green color.
