Recipe Ingredients for Texas Venison Hash

1 pound ground venison
2 cups onion chopped
2 cups cooked tomatoes
2 tablespoons chopped jalapenos
1 tablespoon chilli powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon garlic
4 cups sliced potatoes
6 ounces Cheddar Cheese
1 Salt and Pepper

Recipe Directions for Texas Venison Hash

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

  2. Brown Meat in skillet. Add onions and cook until they are soft. Stir in tomatoes, chiles, chili powder, cumin, garlic, salt and pepper, cook for about five minutes longer. Spread into flat oven dish, layer the sliced potatoes on top and sprinkle with cheese.

  3. Cover with a lid or foil and bake 45 minutes.

  4. Remove cover and cook for 15 minutes or until nicely browned.
