Low fat and high volume dressing. May add fresh chopped cilantro, fresh minced jalepeno peppers, or a bit of fresh, chopped onions, as desired. Watch the sodium content of picante sauces--they are out of sight! I use Pace's but may try making my own some day.

Recipe Ingredients for Tex-Mex Salad Dressing

114 g (1/2 c) picante sauce
30 g avocado
2 T fat free sour cream
1 T Romano or Parmesan cheese, grated

Recipe Directions for Tex-Mex Salad Dressing

Mash avocado in a small bowl. Add rest of ingredients and stir. Pour over salad and toss.
