Recipe Ingredients for Tequila Lime Fajitas

20 ounces chicken breast, sliced
1 large red bell pepper, sliced
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup Tomatoes and Green Chilies
1 ounce tequila
1 ounce triple sec
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed, ground
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried cilantro
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon chili powder

Recipe Directions for Tequila Lime Fajitas

  1. Heat oil over medium high heat

  2. Add onions and saute 2 minutes

  3. Add garlic and saute 1 minute

  4. Add bell pepper and saute 1 minute

  5. Add half the salt and saute another 1 minute

  6. Remove and set aside

  7. Deglaze pan with tequila and triple sec

  8. Add chicken and all remaining ingredients

  9. Saute until chicken is lightly browned

  10. Remove chicken and set aside

  11. Return vegetables to pan and saute long enough to reheat
