Recipe Ingredients for Tempeh au Vin

2 tbs olive oil
3 leeks
2 onions
1 lb mushrooms
3 carrots
8 oz tempeh
4 slices fakin bacon
3 cloves garlic
3 tbs flour
25 oz red wine
1 tbls thyme
2 oz bay leaves

Recipe Directions for Tempeh au Vin

  1. saute leeks and onions, 5-7 minutes

  2. stir in mushrooms, 5-7 minutes

  3. add carrots, tempeh cubes, fakin bacon strips, garlic and flour, 2-3 more minutes.

  4. stir in wine and 3 cups of water.

  5. add thyme and bay leaves

  6. salt and pepper to taste

  7. medium low, partially covered for 1 1/2 hours.
