Good natural flavors! rice is very filling!

Recipe Ingredients for Tater Shroom Veggie Rice

1/2 cup white rice (raw)
1 cup water
1/2 cup chopped white mushrooms
1/2 small potato (gold yukon)
1/4 carrot (chopped)
2 tbsp lite soy sauce
1 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Tater Shroom Veggie Rice

  1. cook white rice separately--

  2. yields about 1 and a 1/2 cups of rice.

  3. Takes 20 minutes on the stove.

  4. Portion aside 3/4 cup rice.

  5. ------------------------------

  6. one package of Knorr Pesto Seasoning;

  7. 1 tbsp Pesto Seasoning (2 tbsp = 15 calories--NOT ADDED TO RECIPE! PLEASE ADD! or cut in half...depending on your salt taste)

  8. ------------------------------

  9. melt butter and cut potatoes into small "triangular shape" on medium-high heat (around 6-8 on stove),

  10. pan "fry" them for 5-8 minutes.

  11. you might have to flip the slices individually to keep them from burning.

  12. You don't need a whole lot of butter--just enough to brown the edges of the potatoes.

  13. After their soft...add the mushrooms along with one tbsp of soy sauce...

  14. after about two minutes of them cooking on their own with the potatoes add the last tbsp of soy sauce....

  15. cook for another two to four minutes until the mushrooms are similar in color to the potatoes.

  16. Add potatoes and mushrooms on top of rice,

  17. add carrots last.

  18. Add tbsp pesto seasoning and mix together.

  19. Enjoy.

  20. You can add to recipe. Unit conversions are not that difficult to figure out.

  21. You don't need to add salt, or pepper, or more butter.

  22. None of that. You don't need it!

  23. Enjoy with a half of an apple! Or half of a red plum!
