Delicious and spicy sausage stuffing. I put 6 sausages here b/c calorie count only could recognize the small kind of sausages, but I really use 4 spicy Italian sausages (about 4 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter).

Recipe Ingredients for Tasty Sausage Stuffing for Mushroom Caps, Scrambled Eggs, or Brociole

6 pork sausage links
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 jalapeno peppers
1/2 large yellow onion
4 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 dash of black pepper
1 dash of mace

Recipe Directions for Tasty Sausage Stuffing for Mushroom Caps, Scrambled Eggs, or Brociole

  1. Dice the onion, garlic, and jalapeno peppers as finely as possible.

  2. In small frying pan, gently melt the butter until it stops foaming.

  3. Add in flour and stir constantly for 3 minutes, making sure it DOES NOT BROWN

  4. Add in milk, sugar, salt, mace, and black pepper and stir constantly until the sauce thickens.

  5. Remove sauce from heat.

  6. In a separate large frying pan, crumble the sausage into the pan.

  7. Add oil, red pepper, and half of the chopped ingredients ingredients to the sausage.

  8. Stir fry sausage and veggies in oil over heat for 5 minutes.

  9. Add in the sauce and remaining chopped ingredients.

  10. Stir fry until sausage is fully cooked.
