Tas Kebab Recipe

Recipe Ingredients for tas kebab

1 1/2 cups rice
15 oz beef, round, top
1/2 onion
1 tsp of oil
1 salt
1 tsp of sugar
1 can of tomato paste
3 cups of water

Recipe Directions for tas kebab

  1. Remove fat from beef and cut into 1 inch cubes

  2. Quarter the onion and let it grill on a pressure cook until golden brown

  3. Add the beef to the cooker and grill until browned

  4. Add salt, tomato paste and water and stir until all the paste is dissolved (if you like your sauce thicker ad less water or add more tomato paste, or if you want a more liquid sauce add more water. Just remember to add enough water so that enough pressure can build inside and the pan does not dry up)

  5. Add sugar and oil, stirring constantly until it boils

  6. Cover and let it cook for 40 minutes

  7. Meanwhile cook the rice with 1 1/2 cups of water

  8. After 40 minutes have passed, remove pressure cooker pan from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Release steam, then open. Serve hot over rice
