Tarac's Hummus Recipe

Traditional style hummus, great as dip or sandwich spread/filling.

Recipe Ingredients for TaraC's Hummus

3 cups garbanzo beans , drained, liquid reserved
2 cloves garlic, coarsley chopped
4 T tahini
4 T lemon juice
1/2 tsp cumin
1 pinch salt
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 T olive oil

Recipe Directions for TaraC's Hummus

  1. Place garbanzo beans & garlic cloves in food processor. Process till coarsley ground.

  2. Add tahini, lemon juice, cumin, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup reserved liquid. Process till mixture reaches desired consistency. Add additional liquid if desired.

  3. Transfer to bowl. Add olive oil & mix till well blended. Garnish with sprinkle of additional cayenne or strips of juilenned cucumber.
