Tante Eugenie's [oy-gain-ya] recipe, as written by my Oma. Easy recipe - starts with matzo meal, no onions involved.

Recipe Ingredients for Tante Eugenie's Matzo Balls

1/2 cup water
1/4 cup margarine
33 1/10 g matzo meal
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ginger
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Tante Eugenie's Matzo Balls

  1. Put matzah meal in one move in the boiling water with margarine, turn off flame, mix, until mixture is loose from pan.

  2. Put in 1 whole egg, cool, form small balls.

  3. Boil until fluffy, about 10-15 minutes.
