This meat sauce is economical, timely and absolutely delicious. Try it with ground chicken instead of beef or ground turkey and cider vinegar if you prefer.

Recipe Ingredients for Tangy Meat Sauce

1/2 pound Lean hamburger (90% lean)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
15 ounces tomato sauce
6 ounces tomato paste
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Recipe Directions for Tangy Meat Sauce

Crumble beef into a 2-qt. microwave-safe dish. Add the onion, green pepper and garlic. Cover and microwave on high for 5-6 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender, stirring frequently; drain.
