After marinating the chicken for around 8 hours i shake as much of the marinade off as possible so the chicken can char on the grill, so in total you might consume 1-2 tbsp of the marinade rather than a true serving.

Recipe Ingredients for tandoori marinade

1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon cayenne
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tbsp lemon juice
4 minced garlic cloves
2 tbsp minced fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for tandoori marinade

Marinate pieces of chicken that skinless, bone in. chicken breast wouldn't hold up to the acidic marinade and would probably dry out if marinated and cooked this way. A boneless skinless chicken thigh with all fat trimmed off (by your butcher) adds minimal calories over a chicken breast, but much more flavor.
