Recipe Ingredients for Tammy G's Homemade Chili

1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup onion
1 packet onion soup mix
1/2 cup black beans
1 1/2 cup butter beans
1 1/2 cup chili beans
3 cups tomato juice
3 cups crushed tomatoes
4 teaspoons chili powder
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
1 tablespoon garlic minced
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup broccoli
1/2 cup cauliflower

Recipe Directions for Tammy G's Homemade Chili

  1. brown ground beef in large soup pot, brown and drain off fat.

  2. add onions and saute with meat until transparent

  3. add onion soup mix and all the spices and stir

  4. add broccoli and cauliflower and stir together

  5. add crushed tomatoes, tomato juice and all the beans and stir

  6. cover and simmer on medium low heat until soup lightly boils

  7. let cool for 5 minutes and serve
