1/2 cup Tamarind Pulp
1 cup Granulated Sugar

Recipe Directions for Tamarind balls

  1. The tamarind flesh is removed from the seeds, either by scraping with a knife,

  2. or rubbing the seeds and sugar against the sides of the bowl with a wooden spoon.

  3. Mix the tamarind flesh with the sugar, and roll into a smooth

  4. ball, about 3/4 inch in diameter. Roll the ball in granulated sugar, and

  5. store in an airtight container. Makes 24 balls.
