Tamale casserole for the crock pot

Recipe Ingredients for Tamale Casserole

1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup egg whites
1 1/2 cups skim milk
3/4 cup cornmeal
15 oz corn (drained)
15 oz diced tomatoes (undrained)
2 1/4 oz sliced olives
5 oz diced green chilis
1 1/4 oz chili seasoning
1 cup cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Tamale Casserole

In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. In a bowl, combine egg, milk, and cornmeal until smooth. Add corn, tomatoes, olives, green chilis, chili seasoning, and beef. Transfer to a greased slow cooker or crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours and 45 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and cook 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
