Makes 4 servings



For ease, use these amounts: 3/4 # meat, 1 pkg. taco seasoning, 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed, 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes with peppers and onions

Recipe Ingredients for Taco Soup

12 oz sirloin, ground
36 g taco seasoning
1 1/2 cups pinto beans
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
14 1/2 oz. diced tomatoes
2 cups water
1 tbsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Taco Soup

  1. Heat a 3Qt. dutch oven over med-hi heat

  2. Coat with cooking spray.

  3. Add beef and cook until browned.

  4. Add remaining ingredients.

  5. Bring to boil.

  6. Cover and reduce heat.

  7. Simmer 10 minutes.

  8. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.

  9. Makes 4 servings that are 1 and 1/2 cups each.
