Recipe Ingredients for Taco Soup

1/2 pound ground beef
4 2/3 ounces canned CORN
14 ounces canned stewed TOMATOES
14 ounces canned BLACK BEANS
14 ounces canned KIDNEY BEANS
2 garlic cloves
14 ounces water
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/3 cup chopped yellow onion
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 sprigs chopped cilantro

Recipe Directions for Taco Soup

  1. heat 1 tablespoon canola oil in pot

  2. add chopped pepper and onion to oil and saute until onions are clear

  3. add garlic cloves to pot and let cook for 2 minutes.

  4. in a side pan, brown meat, drain the meat, and add a little water to meat.

  5. then make your own taco seasoning with cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. add to meat.

  6. add cilantro, canned beans, tomatoes, corn, and beef to pot.

  7. simmer on medium heat until warm enough.

  8. serve with a tortilla, tortilla chips, cheese, sour cream, or whatever else you would like.
