Recipe Ingredients for Taco Casserole

1 lb ground beef
8 oz taco sauce
12 oz whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 c sliced black olives
14 1/2 oz Corn bread, Dry Mix, Prepared
1 medium tomato, chopped
2 tablespoons onion, chopped
2 tablespoons jalapeno peppers, chopped
1 cup lettuce, shredded
2 oz cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe Directions for Taco Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 400

  2. Brown ground beef in large skillet, drain fat and return to pan

  3. Stir in taco sauce, corn and olives. Simmer 5 minutes or until heated through

  4. Keep hot when preparing corn bread mix according to box directions (do not bake)

  5. Spoon meat mixture into a 9x13 inch casserole of baking pan

  6. Spread cornbread mixture on top

  7. Bake uncovered in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes

  8. Serve with chopped tomato, onions, peppers, lettuce, and cheese
