Recipe Ingredients for Tabouli (Bulgur Wheat Salad)

0.5 cup Bulgar Wheat
0.5 cup, chopped Onions, Spring Or Scallions
1 cup Parsley
1 oz Mint
2 cup, chopped or sliced Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
0.5 cup Lemon Juice
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
2 tbsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Tabouli (Bulgur Wheat Salad)

  1. Soak wheat in cold water to cover for 10 minutes. Drain and squeeze as dry as possible in clean cloth. Place wheat in bowl and add onion, parsley, mint and tomatoes. Stir in lemon juice, salt and pepper. Let stand about 30 minutes. Stir in oil. Serve on Romaine leaves. (This is better if you make it the day before you serve it. Flavors are well blended.)

  2. NOTE: The mint is 1/2 cup minced. Makes about siz 1-cup servings.
