A quick, easy and low-cal version of Szechwan Shrimp

Recipe Ingredients for Szechwan Shrimp

3/4 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp ketchup
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp honey
1 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
3/4 tsp ground ginger
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup green onion, diced
2 tbsp garlic, minced
16 ounces shrimp, cooked
1 cup onion, chopped
4 cups broccoli, chopped

Recipe Directions for Szechwan Shrimp

  1. In a bowl, stir together water, ketchup, soy sauce, cornstarch, honey, crushed red pepper and ground ginger. Set aside.

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and green onion and saute for one minute.

  3. Add shrimp, and toss to cover with oil.

  4. Add broccoli (and snow peas if desired)

  5. Stir in sauce and cook until sauce is bubbly and thickened.
