This is a nice filling recipe taken from Russian cuisine. These fried patties are like pancakes, only made with cottage cheese, which gives them a firmer texture. You can eat them either with sour cream or jam.

Recipe Ingredients for Syrniki (made from lowfat cottage cheese)

2/3 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 tbsp sour cream
1 egg
1 cup lowfat cottage cheese
3 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Syrniki (made from lowfat cottage cheese)

Mix all the ingredients (except butter) in a bowl. If you want, you can add raisins. Form patties. Melt the butter in the skillet. Fry each side of the patties for 2-3 minutes until golden and golden brown.
