Swiss Steak Supper is a colorful, satisfying and complete meal in one dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Swiss Steak Supper

1 1/2 lbs round steak
1 tbl vegetable oil
28 oz diced tomatoes
1 medium onion
4 oz green chilies
4 medium red potatoes
4 carrots
2 tbls cornstarch
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Swiss Steak Supper

  1. Salt and pepper steak and brown in oil on both sides.

  2. Add onions and tomatoes.

  3. Place Chilies over meat and bring to a boil

  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes

  5. Add potatoes and carrots.

  6. Cover and let simmer for 70-80 minutes until meat and vegetables are tender.

  7. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into skillet.

  8. Bring to a boil, stiring constantely until thickened and bubbly.
