Recipe Ingredients for Swiss Steak

16 oz lean beef, sliced
1 large onion, sliced
2 bell pepper, sliced
4 cloves garlic, sliced
16 oz tomato sauce, no salt
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Swiss Steak

  1. Use the leanest sirloin, round or topside beef steak available. Slice 3/4 to 1 inch thick in small pieces. Place sliced onion in bottom of PAM-spayed crock pot. Place beef slices on top. Season meat with garlic salt and pepper.

  2. Top with green bell pepper and garlic. Pour tomato suace over all. Cover and cook on low 8 hours.

  3. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
