Basic simple swiss steak. You can also add green or red peppers and dried basil if desired.

Recipe Ingredients for Swiss Steak

1 pound beef bottom round steak
12 1/2 ounce diced tomatoes
1/2 medium onion
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Swiss Steak

  1. Tenderize meat with pronged utensil if you have it. Season meat with salt, pepper, and

  2. garlic powder.

  3. Heat olive oil in dutch oven over medium heat. Brown meat on both sides.

  4. Cover each piece with 2 slices of onion and 1/2 can of tomatoes.

  5. Cover and cook on medium for 30 minutes or until tender.
