This swiss steak is easy to make and tastes great. It's always been one of my favorite things to make/eat.

Recipe Ingredients for Swiss Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Red Gravy

2 lbs. round steak, cut into small steaks
26 oz Campbells Family size condensed tomato soup
1 large green pepper
1 yellow onion
4 large potatoes

Recipe Directions for Swiss Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Red Gravy

  1. Cut the round steak into small squares, mine are usually about 2x2.

  2. Brown in a skillet over medium meat.

  3. When meat is completely browned add the can of tomato soup.

  4. Add rings of peppers and onions over the top, make sure to cover the onions and peppers with the soup. Cover and simmer 35-40 minutes stirring occasionally.

  5. Prepare mashed potatoes however you see fit.

  6. The sauce makes an excellent red gravy for the mashed potatoes.
