Recipe Ingredients for Sweet'N Sour Meatballs

1 lb. lean ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onions
1 slice whole wheat bread, toasted
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c milk
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
20 oz. pineapple tidbits
2 c raw whole wheat elbow macaroni

Recipe Directions for Sweet'N Sour Meatballs

  1. Meatballs

  2. Mix ingredients through curry powder. Chill, then form into 21 small balls and place on a lined cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 350. Lift into a serving dish. Prepare Sweet ?n Sour Sauce and pour over meatballs. Cover and refrigerate until next night if desired. Heat at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.

  3. Sweet ?N Sour Sauce

  4. Mix together in saucepan:sugar, salt and cornstarch

  5. Stir in:vinegar, soy sauce, drained juice from 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits

  6. Bring to a boil; stir until thick and clear. Add pineapple and pour over meatballs.
