A easy to make wheat bread recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Sweet Wheat Bread

4 c wheat flour
2 c white flour
4 tbsp yeast
2 tbsp salt
1/2 c brown sugar
1/3 c Vegetable oil
1/4 c warm Fat Free Milk
1 1/2 c water

Recipe Directions for Sweet Wheat Bread

  1. make sure water is warm, combine it with brown sugar and stir until sugar dissolves. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and set aside until for 10 mins or until foamy.

  2. in a large mixing bowl combine, 3 C wheat flour, 1 C white flour, salt and remaining brown sugar. Add water, yeast mixture along with oil and warmed milk.

  3. Stir and gradually add the remaining flour. Oil bowl and set aside to rise for an hour or more, until it's doubled in size.

  4. Punch down dough and divide it into 2 equal portions. Using a rolling pin, roll each portion into a flat rectangle. Make sure there are no air bubbles. Roll each rectangle into a loaf and set inside 2 breads. Set aside to rise for another 45 mins.

  5. Preheat oven to 400. Put risen loaves in heated over for 15 mins, then lower heat to 350 and bake for an additional 30 mins.
