Red Cabbage cooked with sweet and sour flavours

Recipe Ingredients for Sweet and Sour Cabbage

2 cups of cabbage, shredded
1 clove of garlic
1 small onion, sliced
1 carrot, grated
125 ml Red Wine Vinegar
1/4 cup of sugar
1 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Sweet and Sour Cabbage

  1. Heat oil and cook onion and garlic for 2 minutes.

  2. Add Cabbage and cook for a further 3 minutes.

  3. Stir in vinegar and sugar and bring to simmer.

  4. Add carrot and mix well.

  5. Turn to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

  6. Mix occasionally to check liquid level is reducing.
