Recipe Ingredients for Sweet Potato Split Pea Lentil Stew

4 cups water
3 cups sweet potato, cooked, boiled, without skin
1 cup yellow split peas
1/2 cup red lentils
3 medium carrots, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup cilantro
1/4 tsp salt

  1. In a pot on the stove, combine first nine ingredients.

  2. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until vegetables are tender.
