Recipe Ingredients for Sweet Potato Falafel

1 cup chickpeas, cooked
1 large onion, chopped
1 tbsp garlic, minced
2 tbsp wheat flour
1 tbsp cilantro
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup sweet potatoes, mashed

Recipe Directions for Sweet Potato Falafel

  1. Mash the cooked chickpeas.You can also combine ingredients in a food processor. You want the result to be a thick paste.

  2. Add the cilantro, chili powder, cumin, cayenne, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  3. Add the sweet potatoes.

  4. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper to your preference. i liked them without salt.

  5. Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a ping pong ball. Slightly flatten.

  6. Skillet fry on both sides for 4 minutes.
