Recipe Ingredients for sweet potato bread

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup canola oil
1 cup mashed sweet potato
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 dash of cloves

Recipe Directions for sweet potato bread

  1. preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Mix together the sugar, water, oil, and sweet potatoes. Once combined, sift in the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. If desired, walnuts are a lovely addition to the bread. Bake for 40-50 minutes.

  3. Keep an eye on the bread... Let cool completely before slicing.
