Sweet potato biscuits from Paula Deen

Recipe Ingredients for Sweet Potato Biscuits

6 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1.25 cup All Purpose Flour
4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
1 medium (2" dia, 5" long, raw) Sweetpotato
5 tbsp Butter
0.25 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat

Recipe Directions for Sweet Potato Biscuits

  1. Sift the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt together

  2. Combine sweet potatoes and 4 tbsp of melted butter and mash together

  3. Combine sweet potato mixture and flour mixture

  4. Add milk and cut in until the dough forms (depends on the moisture of the sweet potato)

  5. Turn the dough out unto a floured surface and toss until the dough is smooth

  6. Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut with biscuit cutter

  7. Coat with a tbsp of melted butter (total)

  8. Cook at 450 degrees on a greased pan for 10-15 minutes
