Recipe Ingredients for Sweet 'n' Sour Chicken Over Rice

16 oz Carrots, Baby
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
20 oz Fresh Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
20 oz Pineapple Chunks in 100% Juice
0.33 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 serving Chicken Bouillon Bouillon Cubes
1/2 tsp Salt, Table
1/2 tsp Ginger, Ground
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
0.04 oz Cornstarch
1/4 cup (8 fl oz) Water
3 cup Rice, White, Long-grain, Regular, Cooked

Recipe Directions for Sweet 'n' Sour Chicken Over Rice

  1. Layer carrots and onion in slow cooker. Top with chicken 6 chicken breast halves.

  2. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Place pineapple chuncks over chicken.

  3. Mix together pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, chicken bouillon, salt, ginger, and garlic. Pour over top.

  4. Cook on low 6-7 hours.

  5. Combine cornstarch and water. Gradually stir into slow cooker.

  6. Cook 30 minutes longer or until sauce is thickened.

  7. Serve over rice.
