From the Flat Belly Diet Men's book, except that I added the bell peppers. Serve with whole wheat rontini or penne pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for Sweet Italian Sausage w/ Rontini

300 g sausage, sweet, italian, diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
1 tomato, diced
8 cloves garlic, thinly sliced/diced
1/8 cup olive oil
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/8 tsp crushed red pepper

Recipe Directions for Sweet Italian Sausage w/ Rontini

  1. Cook pasta to al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage, oregano and crushed pepper flakes.

  3. Stir, cooking until sausage is beginning to brown. Add bell peppers, tomatoes and garlic. Cook, stirring until sausage is browned.

  4. Toss with pasta and serve.
