Really flavorful pasta dish - quick and easy to make!

Recipe Ingredients for Sweet Italian Sausage w/ Pasta and Broccoli

340 g sausage links, johnsonville (4 links)
1/2 onion, chopped
1 cup broccoli
6 oz spaghetti, whole wheat
10 oz tomatos, italian-flavored, canned, diced
1 cup beef broth
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cooking spray

Recipe Directions for Sweet Italian Sausage w/ Pasta and Broccoli

  1. Boil water and drop pasta, cook to al dente. Drain and set aside, keeping warm.

  2. Cook sausage according to directions on package, OR cut sausage into bite sized pieces and saute in cooking spray until browned.

  3. Remove sausage from pan. Cut, if not already cut into bite-sized pieces. Set aside, keeping warm.

  4. Add more cooking spray to pan and saute onions 2 minutes or until fragrant.

  5. Add broccoli florettes and saute another 2 minutes.

  6. Add garlic, canned tomato w/ juice, broth, garlic and sausage to pan. Stir

  7. Add pasta and stir frequently until liquid is reduced by half.

  8. Reduce heat and let simmer until ready to serve.

  9. Serving suggestion: Shred asiago or parm cheese over pasta. Enjoy!
