my mom's swedish meatballs and my sauce...works well and is pretty yummy

Recipe Ingredients for Swedish Meatballs


Meatballs:
1 lbs ground beef
1/4 lbs ground pork
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup fat free milk
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp salt
1 dash of pepper
1/2 tsp allspice

Gravy:
2 tbls flour
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 dash of salt
1 dash of pepper

Recipe Directions for Swedish Meatballs

  1. Meatballs:

  2. Soak the breadcrumbs in milk. Mix the meats with milk. Add egg yolk and spices mix well. Shape into small balls. Fry in butter. (I use country crock..) Remove meatballs from pan.

  3. Gravy:

  4. thicken remaining butter with flour. slowly add beef broth soy sauce and worcestershire sauce. cook on low heat until thick. place meatballs in gravy and cook on medium-low hea for 10 minutes.
