Recipe Ingredients for Swedish Meatballs

18 oz raw Ground Beef
1 small Onions
38 7/10 grams Nature's Own Honey Wheat Bread

Recipe Directions for Swedish Meatballs

  1. Process bread in food processor to make soft breadcrumbs. Empty into bowl.

  2. Peel onion and process in food processor until finely minced. Add to bowl with breadcrumbs.

  3. Add ground beef to onions and breadcrumbs.

  4. Add 1/8 tsp cloves, 2 dashes nutmeg, 2 dashes cinnamon and 2 dashes ginger. Mix all ingredients very well.

  5. Divide meat mixture into 1/2 and divide each 1/2 into 1/2 again.

  6. You now have 4 balls. Divide each ball into 4 meatballs, so that you have 16 meatballs total.

  7. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon light butter.

  8. Add meatballs and cook, turning, until browned on all sides.

  9. Add 1/4 c water to pan, cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes.

  10. When meatballs have 5 minutes left to cook, make 1 pkg Knorr brown sauce according to package directions. Keep warm.

  11. Drain excess water from meatballs. Pour brown sauce over meatballs and simmer for 3 minutes.

  12. Serve over rice. 4 servings of 4 meatballs each.
