Makes 1 serving

Peel and dice the swede and carrots. Put the swede in boiling water for five minutes before adding the carrots. When these are cooked (almost to a point of being overcooked) drain and mash these. Then add milk and butter to taste (you can of course use cream or margarine, and at different values, they are simply my favourite.) This makes a wet mash, add a rgrind of pepper or other seasonings, and serve. Low calorie, and very good on the digestive tract as a small meal like breakfast or a substantial snack!
