Hearty stew of lentils, brown rice, spinach, tomato sauce, and spices. Very cheap, easy to make, and very healthy.

Recipe Ingredients for Superfood Stew: lentils, brown rice, spinach, tomato

1 c. dry lentils
1/2 c. dry brown rice
3/4 pkg frozen spinach
1/2 red onion, sliced
6 oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sage
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Superfood Stew: lentils, brown rice, spinach, tomato

Cook lentils (15-20 min cook time) and brown rice (45-50 min cook time). Combine together with frozen spinach, sliced red onion, tomato sauce, and spices. Let simmer together until onion is soft. Add more or different spices to taste.
