Tomato based meat sauce. One serving is a large serving. Modify the spices and seasonings to your liking this is just a guesstimate, play with it a little. I recomend Almyer tomatoes because they never get that tart taste some other brands do. If the tomatoes do taste a little tart, just add a tiny bit of sugar. ENJOY!!

Recipe Ingredients for Super Simple Spaghetti Sauce

1 pound lean ground beef
28 oz diced tomatoes
10 oz tomato paste
1/2 onion, diced
3 pinches basil
1 pinch oregano
1/4 tsp garlic, granulated
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Super Simple Spaghetti Sauce

  1. In a medium sized pot, brown beef over medium heat.

  2. Drain off fat.

  3. Add onions, diced tomatoes, tomatoes paste, basil, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  4. Stir well.

  5. Bring sauce to a bit of a bubble (not a full boil) over medium heat.

  6. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for a minimum of 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  7. Can be simmered up to 60 minutes.

  8. If sauce seems too thick for your liking, add a 1/2 cup of water, and simmer a little longer.
