Recipe Ingredients for Super Sauerkraut and Buttons

1 cup rye four
1/4 cup water
343 grams (entire pkg of 7) hebrew national 97% fat free beef links
4 cups drained sauerkraut

Recipe Directions for Super Sauerkraut and Buttons

  1. Place flour in small bowl, season to taste, add water and mix to form dough. Let rest for about 20 minutes.

  2. While dough is resting cut up links into thirds and brown in a large pot. Add drained sauerkraut and bring to a simmer.

  3. Bring a pot of water to boil. Roll dough into a log shape and use a scissor to snip off small button sizes into water. Boil until tender. Add the cooked buttons to the sauerkraut and sausage. Season to taste and serve warm.
