Developed after years of experimentation of the best way to take in many of the recommended superfoods--good flavor and texture, and not too many calories. Note in directions below supplements that can be added to enhance nutrition further.

Recipe Ingredients for Super Foods Smoothie

1 cup organic blueberries, frozen
3/4 cup organic strawberries, frozen
3/4 cup organic orange juice, with pulp
1 cup unsweetened soy milk
2 tbsp flax seeds, ground

Recipe Directions for Super Foods Smoothie

  1. Combine blueberries, strawberries, orange juice, and soy milk in Vita-Mix.

  2. Grind flax seeds fresh and add to blender.

  3. Optional additions:

  4. 4 green tea ice cubes.

  5. 1 tbsp pomegranate juice concentrate

  6. 2/3 tbsp Trader Joe's stevia powder

  7. 2/3 tbsp Kal Calcium powder

  8. 1/3 tbsp magnesium powder

  9. 1 tbsp New Chapter "Berry Green"
