Absolutely fool proof and faster than most methods. TIP Use a double layer of paper towels under the bowl to avoided a mess.

Recipe Ingredients for super fast fool proof brown rice

1 c brown rice
2 c water

Recipe Directions for super fast fool proof brown rice

  1. Put water and brown rice into a microwave safe dish, leaving at least 2 inches between the top of the water and the rim of the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 7 minutes, then on 50 % power for 20 minutes. Let sit without moving for 5 minutes. Then open the plastic wrap (CAREFUL! hot steam) and stir, allowing to sit another 5 minutes.

  2. You can do this with white rice also, just reduce the 50% power cooking time to 15 minutes.
