Toasted Granola with Sunflower Seeds Prep Time 1 hr & 10 min

Recipe Ingredients for Sunflower Granola

4 cups rolled oats
2 cups raw sunflower seeds
1 cups unsweetened coconut
1/4 cup demerara sugar
1/3 cup brown rice syrup
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Sunflower Granola

  1. Reserve Raisins for last step

  2. Preheat oven to 250 F

  3. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl

  4. Mix wet ingredients and immediately add to dry mix

  5. Combine until dry ingredients are fully coated

  6. Spread mixture on 2 cookie sheets.

  7. Bake for ~1 hour, mixing every 15 minutes

  8. Allow to cool and mix in raisins.

  9. Store in a sealed container

  10. Serve with soymilk to further enhance the nutrition of this low impact breakfast.

  11. 1 serving = ~3/4 cup
