When you combine the flour mixture with the applesauce mixture, stir only until the dry ingredients become moist. If a few lumps remain, that's okay. Recipe Ingredients for Sunday Morning Muffins

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup white flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
3/4 cup raisins
2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Sunday Morning Muffins

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, add the flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and raisins. Stir to combine.

  3. In a medium bowl, whisk the applesauce and oil together.

  4. Add the applesauce mixture to the flour mixture, stirring just to moisten. Spoon the batter into a lightly oiled standard muffin tin. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden.
