Recipe Ingredients for Sunday Homemade Tomato Sauce

794 3/10 grams Tomato Puree
3.25 cup Crushed Tomatoes
1 large Onions
6 pieces Garlic Cloves
1 tbsp, ground Basil, Dried
1 tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
2 serving Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Sunday Homemade Tomato Sauce

  1. Add 2 tbsp. to large pot and heat.

  2. Chop onion and add to olive oil. Cook until just slightly brown.

  3. Add fresh garlic and basil. Cook for one minute.

  4. Add can of crushed tomatoes first, then stir. Add can of tomato puree, then stir. Add bay leaves and cover. Bring to a boil.

  5. Add meatballs if desired.

  6. Let simmer for approximately 5 hours, stirring occassionally.
