Recipe Ingredients for Summer Tomato Sauce with Carmelized Onions

1/2 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 garlic clove
1 cup chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp oregano

Recipe Directions for Summer Tomato Sauce with Carmelized Onions

Heat olive oil in large skillet. Add onions, sprinkle with salt and sugar. Cover and cook over medium heat 20 minutes or until onions are carmelized. Add garlic to pan and cook for 30 seconds or until garlic is fragrant. Add tomatoes. Continue to simmer 20-30 minutes until tomatoes are soft. Serve over pasta.
