Fluffy scones filled with the fruit of your desire!

Recipe Ingredients for Summer Fruit Scones

2 1/2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup margarine
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup blueberries

Recipe Directions for Summer Fruit Scones

  1. Blend dry ingredients.

  2. Rub in margarine.

  3. Add fruit and mix gently

  4. Add beaten egg, milk and water.

  5. mix until just blended. Add more water if necessary for a slightly firm dough ball.

  6. Kneed 5 or 6 times.

  7. Form into ball (you may have to dust lightly with a little flour. Flatten on lined cookie sheet. Cut into 8 wedges. Separate wedges. Brush with water or egg or milk. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

  8. Bake in oven 375 degrees for 20 min or until golden brown.
