The 3/8 cup plum equals 1 plum, the 1 cup nectarine equals 1 nectarine, and the 1 1/2 tablespoons of liquor is actually 2 tablespoons of brandy. I had to tweak the ingredients a little to have it come out correctly. Also, the lemon juice is approximately just juice from one lemon and the same with the zest. I usually add a little splenda (about 1/4 cup) to sweeten it, but it doesn't add any calories and if I put it in the ingredient list, it could only find the baking splenda, which is not calorie-free.

Recipe Ingredients for Summer Fruit Salad

3/8 cup plum
1 1/2 tbsp liquor
1 cup nectarine
6 ounces blackberries
6 ounces blueberries
6 ounces raspberries
1 lb strawberries
1 banana
3 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp lemon zest

Recipe Directions for Summer Fruit Salad

  1. Wash everything except for the banana.

  2. Dice the nectarine and plum. Hull and quarter the strawberries. Combine everything except for the banana. Stir very well, being careful not to damage the delicate raspberries.

  3. When it is mixed well, slice the banana on top. It can be served immediately, but it tastes a little better when the flavors have an hour or two to blend. Serves 4 - 6, but the serving size is based on 6.
