A light and delicious Yorkshire pudding to go with roast beef

Recipe Ingredients for Sue's Yorkshire Pudding yummy

150 ml skimmed milk
55 g plain flour
1 medium egg
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Sue's Yorkshire Pudding yummy

  1. Put flour in a bowl.

  2. Mix in egg and half the milk.

  3. Add remaining milk and beat until smooth or use food processor. Shlould be like runny cream.

  4. Put in fridge for 20-30 mins.

  5. Preheat oven to 220C or Gas mark 7.

  6. Pour oil into baking tin and heat on hob until very hot (it is even better to use some meat fat from the roast beef roasing pan for flavour).

  7. Beat the batter again.

  8. Pour batter into tin of very hot fat - should sizzle.

  9. Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes and serve immediately with roast beef dinner. Don't open oven part way through.

  10. Could serve 4 but it's so delicious it's a treat to have half each for 2 people.
